چکیده

In this paper, an optimized Fractional Order Proportional, Integral, Derivative based Genetic Algorithm GA-FOPID optimization technique is proposed for glucose level normalization of diabetic patients. The insulin pump with patient system used in the simulation Bergman minimal model, which to simulate overall system. main purpose obtain optimal controller parameters that regulate smoothly desired using GA find FOPID parameters. next step and traditional PID normally. Then, output results was compared normal controllers. comparison shows all three controllers can but use outperform other two terms speed overshoot value.

Blood Glucose Regulation in Diabetics Using H∞ Control Techniques

This paper presents a control algorithm for insulin delivery in Type I diabetic patients. The control algorithm utilize a robust H∞ controller to regulate the blood glucose level in diabetic patients. Diabetes mellitus is a family of chronic metabolic ailment in which body’s. In this study, Bergman’s minimal model has been used as a base model, to reformulate dynamics of insulin and glucose con...

Indicators for blood glucose control in diabetics with end-stage chronic renal disease: GHb vs. glycated albumin (GA).

Diabetics with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) exhibit abnormal life span of erythrocytes, and thus, HbAlc is not necessarily a good indicator for blood glucose control. The present study was conducted to reaffirm this point and determine whether glycated albumin (GA) can be used instead of HbAlc. The following three groups of patients with diabetes served as subjects: 49 predialysis patients wi...

Effect of emulin on blood glucose in type 2 diabetics.

Emulin™ is a patented blend of chlorogenic acid, myricetin, and quercetin that has shown efficacy in reducing midday and post-oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) area under the curve (AUC) glucose in streptozotocin-treated rats. The purpose of this study was to determine if similar effects would be evident in type 2 diabetic humans. Forty human subjects with confirmed type 2 diabetes (10 each in...

Promotive effect of comprehensive management on achieving blood glucose control in senile type 2 diabetics.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the control of blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) and its influencing factors, in elderly type 2 diabetic mellitus (T2DM) patients undergoing comprehensive management. After years of comprehensive prevention of and control measures for diabetes, elderly T2DM patients who were receiving long-term health care were comprehensively evaluated ...

A semiclosed-loop optimal control system for blood glucose level in diabetics.

In this manuscript, the well-known Bergman nonlinear mathematical model of the plasma glucose/insulin interaction is adopted and a semi closed-loop optimal technique is proposed for the correction of hyperglycemia in diabetic subjects. Computer simulations are used to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed technique and to demonstrate its superiority in controlling hyperglycemia over other ...
